Freelance Camera Operator for Productions in Stockholm

I work on corporate productions, interviews, events, branded content and commercial projects, either as part of an existing crew or independently on smaller shoots.

My background in directing and producing means I understand more than the technical side of operating a camera. I am used to thinking about storytelling, performance, continuity and what the editor will need once the material reaches post-production.

That makes it easy for me to step into an existing production and understand both the creative intention and the practical requirements of the shoot.

Camera Operator with Own Equipment

For smaller assignments I can bring my own professional camera, lenses, lighting and audio equipment.

This can be useful when you need a flexible local camera operator in Stockholm without bringing a complete crew and equipment package from another city or country.

If the production requires additional equipment or crew, I can also help arrange sound, additional cameras, lighting or production support.

Corporate Interviews and Branded Content

A large part of my work involves filming people.

This includes interviews with executives, experts, employees and customers as well as supporting footage of workplaces, products and environments.

For smaller interview shoots I can often handle camera, lighting and audio myself. For more demanding productions I work with additional crew when needed.

My aim is always to create an environment where the person in front of the camera can concentrate on what they want to say rather than on the production around them.

Events and Live Situations

I also work as a camera operator for conferences, corporate events, presentations, performances and other live situations.

These productions require a different way of working from a controlled corporate shoot. You need to anticipate what is about to happen, find strong angles quickly and make sure important moments are captured when they happen.

I can work as a single operator or as part of a multi-camera team depending on the production.

Working with International Productions in Stockholm

If your production is coming to Stockholm or Sweden, I can join the project as a local freelance camera operator and videographer.

I am used to working with agencies, companies and production teams and can either work from your existing brief and shot list or contribute creatively when needed.

For smaller productions I can also help simplify the local setup by providing camera, lighting and audio equipment and arranging additional crew if required.

Camera Operator, Videographer or Cinematographer?

The terminology varies between productions.

Some clients look for a camera operator, others for a videographer, filmmaker or cinematographer. My work often sits between these roles.

I am comfortable working purely as a camera operator under a director or DoP, but on smaller productions I can also take greater responsibility for the visual approach, lighting and overall execution of the shoot.

For larger high-end productions requiring a dedicated Director of Photography, I am equally comfortable working as part of the camera team.

Den sista meningen är viktig. Den gör positioneringen trovärdig och försöker inte sälja dig som något du inte är.

Available for Shoots in Stockholm and Sweden

I am based in Stockholm and available for assignments throughout Sweden and internationally.

If you are looking for a camera operator for a corporate shoot, interview, event or smaller production, send me a short description of the project and I can quickly suggest an appropriate setup.

INFORMATION VIDEO – KAROLINSKA INSTITUTET

How do you make complex research understandable to an international audience without simplifying away its credibility?

For Karolinska Institutet, we produced an English-language film about long-term collaboration between academia and industry and how research can be translated into practical benefits for patients and society.

The challenge was to communicate a complex subject to a professional and critical international audience. We therefore developed a narrative around researchers and contributors with complementary perspectives, using interview questions that moved from concrete facts and outcomes towards more personal reflections.

The aim was to establish credibility first while still creating a film that felt human and engaging. Interviews in real research and clinical environments were combined with visual storytelling, music and a clear narrative structure to make an advanced subject accessible without making it simplistic.

INFORMATION VIDEO – ÖSTERÅKER MUNICIPALITY

How do you communicate the value of a public service without making the film feel like institutional communication?

For Österåker Municipality, we created a film about its youth services and the people who make them work.

The objective was to show what participation, learning and safety actually mean in everyday life – through the experiences of the young people themselves as well as the perspectives of the adults working with them.

We built the film around authentic interviews and real situations within the organisation. The contributors spoke in their own words, while interviews were combined with footage of activities, meetings and interactions between young people and adults.

In the edit, voices, observational footage and music were shaped into a story that both explains the organisation and communicates the sense of trust, community and pride surrounding it.

The project was produced as both a longer film and a shorter version for social media.

INFORMATION VIDEO – KAROLINSKA INSTITUTET

How do you attract the right audience to advanced education without making the film feel like traditional recruitment advertising?

When Karolinska Institutet launched a new master’s programme in biomedical laboratory science, the film needed both to explain the programme and encourage already qualified biomedical scientists to consider further education.

We selected three contributors with complementary perspectives and built the story through interviews rather than scripted statements. Carefully developed questions allowed each person to speak naturally in their own words, while the answers were shaped into a coherent story during editing.

The interviews were combined with carefully lit footage from Karolinska Institutet’s laboratories and working environments, together with music and sound, to create both understanding and emotional engagement.

The production was delivered as both a longer version and shorter formats adapted for different digital channels.

CORPORATE VIDEO – AXEL LARSSON

A corporate video about expertise, relationships and personal service.

Axel Larsson wanted to showcase both its technical expertise and the people behind the company. We therefore built the story around one employee, following him both at work with customers and in his life outside the company.

This allowed us to combine the company’s problem-solving expertise, products and professional environments with a more personal story that builds trust and creates a human connection.

From a single shooting day to a finished film

You do not need to commission a complete video production to work with me.

I can join a production purely as a camera operator, videographer or filmmaker and hand over the footage after the shoot. This works well for production companies, agencies and corporate teams that already have a producer and post-production in place.

If you need more support, I can also take responsibility for planning, directing, producing and editing.

This means the assignment can scale from a single shooting day to a complete smaller production.

Experience without unnecessary production overhead

I have many years of experience in film production and have worked in different roles as a filmmaker, director and producer.

That means I am comfortable both with more ambitious productions and with assignments where you need to work quickly, independently and find practical solutions on set.

For me, the size of the crew is not what determines the quality of a production. What matters is having the right ambition, resources and way of working for the film we are making.

My broader production experience also makes it easy for me to communicate directly with clients and understand both the creative and practical sides of a project.
